"life on base based on life"
L A K E N H E A T H
A film by Lucy Neiland and Laurence Lily

Review from Time Out (London Premiere):

Following her previous work looking at American community identities, Neiland's latest stays with military Statesiders but follows them across the pond to Lakenheath, the largest US air base in England. This time it's a god-fearing Oklahoma family, more than content to hang out 24/7 on the base, a welcome outpost, for them, in the favoured nation in its global reach. Certain in their views, when however they are offered a chance to leave the base for a cheerleading competition with the locals, they venture into a world of other imperatives, other beliefs... As previously, Neiland brings keen observation, generosity of spirit and understanding to this very personal take on global issues and debates.
